As far as humans have got the conscience of themselves, they have tried to reach the Highest. They have built chapels, temples or castles on the most significant and highest places all over the world. By this way, oftentimes paid with so many sufferings and too many innocent lives, they thought they could elevate their soul and send their most secret hopes and their deepest fears over the sky, wishing to reach their god and his mercy.
I just consider that every place on earth is a piece of paradise, from the highest mount down to the deepest cavern, and it’s worth any dream, any prayer, any sacrifice.
If only we can be ourselves and look inside us without any fear or complacency...

I’ve taken this picture yesterday evening at 4:45 pm. This place is called La Lieude, located at 15 km from my village, it’s an old medieval ruin which dominates the whole valley, and we can oftentimes overlook the sea from this incredible and natural balcony...
It was really cold and the wind was very powerful, I’ve been waiting more than one hour to get the line of the old tower shadow standing out against the opposite mount, thanks to the gorgeous setting sun and the clear winter light...
It was a great moment...

I'm just thinking about how amazing it must be to have such natural beauty so close to home...! I would love to be able to just take a few miles stroll and see nothing but land. Even the ruins of this manmade sculpture do not affect the mood of this scene. Just... simply... beautiful. =)
